Google Analytics 4 just launched!

Transition to Universal Analytics in GA-4. Everything you need to know.

As of July 1, 2023, Google is implementing the previously announced transition from Universal Analytics to GA4. Universal Analytics is a thing of the past and data processing has already stopped – although for a period of 6 months you will have access to your data history as well as the ability to export reports.

What are the New Features ofGA4 ;

With GA4, Google will use the capabilities offered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to bring out new aspects of the user experience.

Basics:

  1. It records and measures the data of a site and app – in a Google Analytics Property.
  2. Privacy compliance with both GDPR and CCPA standards. Cookies are now removed.
  3. Event-based application, which mean that it focuses on the event that constitutes the user’s interaction with the website from the click to the possible realization of a purchase.
  4. It provides a new working environment. The data organization layers and their dashboards have changed. Data organization levels and dashboards have changed. Now, the data and reports produced by GA4 include aspects of the entire user/buyer life cycle. Therefore, it is possible to record and evaluate data from the acquisition of the customer, its maintenance, the financial assessment of his activity, and the end of his commitment.
  5. Through artificial intelligence (AI) a complete analysis of the user’s behavior is allowed. Rather than relying solely on user data and preferences, when these are lacking, they are compensated for through modeling. It also provides three additional indicators such as the probability of purchase, the probability of leaving as well as the projected income.

Focusing on these markers:

  • Possibility of purchase: Provides the purchase within 7 days, if the user was active at least once in the past 28 days.
  • Possibility of leaving: A user is likely inactive in the next 7 days, as long as he was active at least once in the past 7 days.
  • Projected Revenue: It is the provision for purchases revenue that will be made in the next 28 days, as long as the user has been active at least once in the past 28 days.
  • Interconnection GA4 Property with Google Ads. You can import, from Google Analytics 4 to Google Ads, the target audience elements and the intended audience.
